The client currently has several hundred servers in use in production. There are a few monitoring options as yet, but these react too late or do not match the client’s requirements.
The preproductions are not connected to the order tracking system of the production. Production is carried out from stock with relatively high stock levels.
Analysis machines from different producers only provide their own diagnostic software.
Possible optical tests are:
The final-assembly line is connected to an MES from another producer.
Too many manufactured units are stored manually in the warehouse but not taken into account for new orders because the stocks are not known.
Certain types of products are to be ejected at a certain point because they are needed for other processes. The employees on the lines receive lists and desired quantities of types that are to be ejected manually.
Different quality checks have to be carried out on several lines at the breaking stations. The inspections may be due after a certain interval or after a type change. The inspections only have to be carried out when the lines are producing.
The customer has many maintenance contracts with hardware producers. Administration and coordination with the producers take up a lot of time and resources.
The network has grown constantly over the years, has been expanded and managed by different companies.
